How it works
- Same passage, same sixty seconds, one shared count. More correct characters wins.
- Against a person it's live: you watch each other type, keystroke by keystroke.
- Your side counts as a real test in your history. Theirs is just the race.
Questions
- Am I racing a real person?
- Yes when you find a match, accept a nudge, or open a friend's code: a live person typing at the same moment. When nobody is around you can play the computer instead, and it is always labelled as the computer.
- How does the computer opponent type?
- Like a person: it slips and corrects, speeds up and tires, and it paces itself from your own recent speed with a temperament of its own for each duel. Beatable, but never the same twice.
- Can someone cheat?
- A duel only reaches the head-to-head board when both players' results agree and both pass the same checks as the speed leaderboard. Anything that fails stays off the board; your own history keeps every duel regardless.
- Is this free?
- Yes. No account, no sign-up, no download. Appearing online, nudging and being nudged all work as a guest; an account only adds a name of your choosing.
